APA Style of writing was introduced by the American Psychological Association. While you are writing your term paper it is quite necessary to pay importance to the style mentioned. While writing in APA style few important point to keep in mind are:
- The page needs to be 8.5 by 11 inch.
- You need to have 1 inch margin on all the four sides.
- While writing the title, the title needs to be in one single line.
- After the title needs to be the name of the author.
- In the next line mention the name of your school or college.
- All these three lines should be placed in the center of the page.
- On the top left side of all the pages use a shorter version of your title.
- After the title page write the abstract page. Here write the summary of the paper.
- This needs to be followed by the body of the paper.
- Cite all the references. Make a list of all references to include detailed information on every source you cited in your paper.
- Use of double-space throughout the term paper is a must.
- Use of font size – 12 pt. font, Times New Roman and Courier is needed.
- Page number should be mentioned on the right side.
- APA format uses in-text references rather than footnotes or endnotes.
- If you are not directly quoting the sentence in your APA style term paper, you simply have to include the author’s last name and year of publication.
